15 years ago I got Dermot Cabey to make my kitchen for my first house on the advice of a very good friend of mine. I have to say the time, effort and attention to detail by Dermot created a little master piece for me and from then on I have recommended him to many of my friends around the world. 8 years ago we moved house and again got Dermot to make our new kitchen. This classic design demanded a lot of effort and Dermot didn't let me down. It has added huge value to our house and everyone who visits our house are amazed at the great job he did for us. Dermot has done several major projects for us over the past 12 years. When we first built our house he designed and made our kitchen and utility room cabinets in beautiful antique pine which has only improved with age. More recently we had him manage another kitchen project when we installed granite worktops and installed additional storage and shelving in the utility room. He designed a beautiful display cabinet in our living room designed to tie in with the character of the kitchen cabinets and existing stove and décor. He is an excellent advisor on how best to use space and can make storage units possible in any corner you may have. He also made several bathroom cabinets and shelving, beautiful decorative radiator covers and kitted out storage units in a room converted to a playroom. Dermot is meticulous and his attention to detail is second to none. He is really easy to work with, very accommodating and flexible, and a great resource with exceptional product/supplier knowledge. Everyone who has seen his work agrees that his workmanship is of an exceptionally high standard. I certainly do not hesitate to recommend him for any job, big or small. When Dermot is finished, there is no trace left behind that any major construction work has been completed. He brings fresh ideas to any project, but also takes the time to listen to any ideas that one may have, letting one know what will work or what may be too costly to consider. He loves what he does and it shows!

When we were looking to update the kitchen in our new home, Dermot was recommended to us by friends whose kitchen I had admired. He came out to the house and listened to our ideas and we immediately found him to be someone we could trust. Dermot is not a salesman trying to push the latest thing, or a flat pack guy with some fitting skills. He is experienced and creative and enthusiastic about his work. We had got quotes and ideas from two other kitchen providers but there was no contest really once we met Dermot. He called it 'cosmetic surgery' for the kitchen because we wanted to use as much of the existing kitchen as possible and limit waste, but it ended up being operation transformation! The shell of the old kitchen is in there, as are the doors, but it is unrecognisable - it's so big, bright and beautiful! We are absolutely delighted with the result, which was finished within the budget. Everyone we spoke to about working with Dermot said - 'you'll get the right job there' and they weren't wrong! I highly recommend working with Dermot, it was a pleasure.
